In the early hours of Friday, June 13, 2025, Iran witnessed one of the most devastating aerial attacks in its modern history. The operation—conducted independently by the formidable Israeli Defense Forces under the command of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—targeted hundreds of military, nuclear, intelligence, and even residential sites belonging to regime loyalists across Iran with extraordinary precision. The scale, accuracy, and audacity of this military operation—already seen by many as the dawn of a new era in the Middle East—are unprecedented.
🎯 Strategic Targets: From Masterminds to Core Facilities
Unlike previous limited or warning strikes, this operation carried unmistakable strategic dimensions. Israeli drones and fighter jets appeared over Tehran around midnight and, by dawn, had struck over 20 cities and bases across the country. Reports from sources close to the IRGC and security channels (including @dolatebahar) indicate the primary objective was the destruction of the Islamic Republic’s military command structures and the halting of its nuclear and missile programs.
▪ In Tehran:
- Strikes hit key areas including Niavaran, Gheytarieh, Chitgar, Saadat Abad, Mahallati Military Town, Shahid Chamran Town, Farahzadi, Ozgol, Shahrara, and Marzdaran.
- Direct attacks were reported on the General Staff Command HQ, the residence of Ali Shamkhani, and residential towers housing military commanders.
- Buildings near Ketab Square, the Orkideh Complex in Sattarkhan, and other locations known as IRGC and intelligence congregation sites were also targeted.
▪ Outside Tehran:
- Sensitive nuclear facilities in Natanz, Parchin, Khondab, and the Arak heavy-water reactor were bombed.
- Strategic cities such
as Tabriz, Hamedan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Qasr-e Shirin, Borujerd, and Khorramabad were struck with high precision.
The breadth of targets across Iran reflects multi-layered intelligence and reconnaissance, likely developed over months or even years of preparation.
🧠 Targeted Killings of Key Commanders and Scientists: Severing the Dragon’s Head
According to multiple confirmed reports, at least several top-level figures in the Islamic Republic were killed in the attack, including:
- Hossein Salami (Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC)
- Mohammad Bagheri (Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces)
- Amir Ali Hajizadeh (Commander of IRGC Aerospace Forces)
- Gholam Ali Rashid (Commander of Khatam-al Anbiya Central HQ)
- Ali Shamkhani (former Secretary of Supreme National Security Council)
Also reportedly killed were key military–scientific figures such as:
- Dr. Fereydoun Abbasi (nuclear physicist)
- Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi (Shahid Beheshti University official)
- Abdolhamid Monavar
- Ahmadreza Zolfaghari
- Amirhossein Fakhi
- Mohammad Mehdi Teranchi
These assassinations echo the Mossad’s pattern of targeted killings over the past decade—this time carried out under the banner of a full-scale war.
📡 Intelligence Dimensions: Infiltration to the Core
The pinpoint accuracy of the attacks and the revelation of locations housing commanders, scientists, and ultra-sensitive equipment indicate an astounding level of Israeli intelligence infiltration within the Islamic Republic’s military-security structure. There is evidence suggesting some air defenses may have been deliberately disabled at key moments with internal collaboration.
⚖ Military and Geopolitical Consequences
In immediate response, the Islamic Republic announced the launch of over 100 drones toward Israel, most of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome system. The likelihood of direct confrontation and escalation across the region is now higher than ever. Yet, this operation is not merely the onset of a regional war—it marks the beginning of the end for a regime built on violence, secrecy, assassination, terrorism, and nuclear ambition.
