Mrs Victoria Azad is a renowned politician who the past 40 years has worked in opposition against the Islamic Republic of Iran. She is known as a political analyst, writer and debater. Mrs Victoria Azad has initiated and started several important oppositional associations and is one of the founders of Iran Yaran. Mrs Victoria Azad is especially known for her strong connections to the opposition within the country. She has written numerous important articles and is one of the key figures within the Iranian opposition who is frequently interviewed on matters with regard to the current political situation in Iran In 2002 she was nominated for the Swedish Parliament and held a fourth place in the election. She holds a MA in Nursing and leadership and has worked as University Adjunct as well as held several Managerial position within her field of work.

 Subject: Announcement in support of the Iranian students (political prisoners) held in

Islamic inhumane conditions 

 From: Members of the Swedish parliament and the other organization of the liberal party (Folkpartiet Liberalerna)

 

 Mr. President,

 We have been informed that, seven Iranian political activist are in current hunger    strike for some days, in Rajaei shahr prison and therefore in a sever critical health condition.

Their reasons being as follows:

1- Keeping the political prisoners along with criminal prisoners such as smugglers, murderers, rapist and addicts in the same place and under one roof, making it impossible and dangerous for them to live.

2- Violation of the humane rights in the Islamic republic.

We have the list of the hunger strike political prisoners in the Islamic prisons as follows:

1- Farzad Hamidi, 2- Arzhang Davodi, 3- Bina Darabzand, 4- Mehrdad Lohrasbi

5- Jafar Egdami, 6- Feze Mahdavi, 7- Hojat Zamani, and more………………….


Mr. President,


We would like to make this  point clear  that, their health and condition of living is a matter of importance and great concern to us,( current members of the Swedish Parliament) and to our country, also our great hope that, there would be no political prisoners in Islamic Republic of Iran.
